Hen and Chic Vintage is Heading to the Holiday Village Market!
Okay, so it’s just barely September, but around here, that means the holiday hustle is already underway. The news: we sent in our application for the Kennett Square Holiday Village Market at The Creamery—and are crossing are every finger and toe. (That’s how excited we are.)
This market might just be my favorite way to wrap up the year, tucked into the glowing lights and wintery cheer at The Creamery. It’s not your average “pop-up;” it’s the sort of thing where you get swept from table to table, humming to holiday tunes, sipping cocoa or another type of libation;) and maybe pause too long by the fire pits because, well, December.
Since the minute we hit send on that vendor form, we’ve been on a mission: hunting for oddball treasures and new vintage goodies, scouting thrift shop shelves like a woman possessed. You’ve got to have fresh finds for the regulars, right? My soap batches are multiplying, too—holiday scents everywhere!
It’s not just the selling, either. I love chatting with other vendors, trading vintage secrets, and meeting folks who stop by just to swap a recipe or admire a mid-century mug. If you wandered through last year, you know there’s always a crowd—kids clutching s’mores kits, parents searching for one-of-a-kind gifts, couples wandering hand-in-hand beneath twinkling lights. It’s ridiculously cozy.
So, if everything goes how it should and we get our spot, come December, the booth will be overflowing with Hen and Chic Vintage magic: old-school gems, upcycled curiosities, and plenty of handmade gifts. If you see someone fussing with a stack of antique linens beside a mountain of White Christmas soap, it’s probably me (and my holiday playlist).
I hope to see you there—frosty cheeks, festive spirit, ready to talk treasures and trade stories. Let the holiday hunt begin!
